2. Premature Brake Wear. During our research, we encountered multiple complaints about the Ford Transitās brakes. Owners appear to be dissatisfied with the Transitās brakesā durability, especially the rear brakes. We also found that this problem was common with recent Ford Transit models starting from 2015.When this happens the EGR valve will need to be replaced. The engine may run lean or rich, depending on why the valve has failed.
Posted August 4, 2015. blanking the EGR might help but the fact its cutting out sounds like a fuel / air problem rather than EGR. Check the air filter, and also check all pipes and hoses are not damaged. Next thing to do would be a leak off test to ensure there is fuel going through the injectors, 1. Quote.

I had a look on here last week to try and diagnose it and thought it might be the EGR Valve but that seems to be giving people problems in 3-6th gear.

I have a 2002 TDCI 130 Recently I have noticed that at about 2000 Rpm / 50-60mph / 3rd 4th or 5th as I start to apply power by depressing the throttle gently I notice that the engine appears to misfire. As I increase the throttle and acclerate the problem goes away. Tick over is fine. No rattles just the symptom of the misfire. Any suggestions. aaSfrpT.
