It may be the best at the spring reverb 'drip' 'boing' or whatever you call it. But I think that the pedal has a slight overdriven sound to the reverb anyway. So I'd probably want to run it through an effects loop if I used it. Unless you like that old surf sound. A lot of old surf guys ran a reverb unit before a crunchy amp.
The amount of reverb is pretty much limited by the tube driving it. A Fender "reverb" amp drives it with a 12AT7. The reverb unit drives it with a 6K6 (original) or 6V6 (reissue). The VibroKing, which so to speak has a standalone reverb built in, drives it with a 6V6 (newer versions) or el84 (first versions).
