If oyu want to try Mount and Blade without putting too much money on it, check out Warband. It may be missing some QoL stuff that were added in the second game, but the core gameplay is basically the same. Victoria 3 is pretty good, but the tutorial isn't. It gives you some general instructions, but I wasn't too confident going into the real thing. Depends on terrain, the composition of your melees, and whether or not you use them defensively, or offensively to break enemy line. Use defensive formations on hilly terrain, aim to break away and move to higher ground/woods using offensive formations if you're out in the flat and/or open vs archers or mounted. In each new game of Mount & Blade 2 the workshops in each town are randomly generated, but the products made in each village are not. Nope, for some reason just that one quest was enough apparently, the task to stop conspiracy is gone and top 3 powers in the world declare war on me, khuzaits, aserai, vlandia. Was able to stabilize after beating khuzaits into submission and then chipping away at aserai, while supplying Jalmarys garrison with troops.
